Today marks the ten year anniversary of the passing of Michael Jackson.

A lot has happened in the past ten years, but it seems like only yesterday that news broke of him leaving us. During his lifetime, Michael has inspired others and broken barriers that no one could ever achieve. He has gone far above and beyond the status of being an idol and even today, his music and performances still inspire others. He always used his celebrity status to inspire good in the world and has done so much charity in the world that no one will be able to even match. Michael has touched so many lives and will never be forgotten.

Michael, no matter what, we will forever keep you in our hearts and miss you always.

We love you more.

Please join us at 11:00 AM EST where we will all listen to "Will You Be There" -- The Dangerous Album Version simultaneously and reflect on Michael's life and passing. Afterwards, feel free to turn this into a party post to help cheer one another up. Shamone_MJ will also be streaming MJ videos all day if you prefer a Viewing Party.

I hope all of you are doing alright today and please remember that everyone here at Shamone will support you, love you, and will be there for you during this time.

Love you bb's.

I was in London visiting a friend for a few weeks. We had just come back to her flat from a night out, and I was on my laptop before bed. The first place I saw news of his passing was on ONTD. Everyone who first commented was in disbelief and couldn't believe it was true. Then, as time went on, it was finally confirmed. I remember being up almost the whole night. My friends flat was near the London Eye, and my bedroom window was open. I could literally hear people in the streets playing his music. It was literally like the world stopped.

Where were you when the news first broke?

Hello Shamone Family,

With tomorrow being the 10 year anniversary of Michael's passing, I wanted to send word that Shamone MJ will be holding a vigil.

On June 25th at 11:00 AM EST, we will all listen to "Will You Be There" - The Dangerous Album Version simultaneously.

A post will be made to reflect on Michael and what he meads to us. After the song has ended, please feel free to post pictures, videos, etc. in honor of Michael's life.

The Shamone MJ Facebook Page will also have a Michael Jackson concerts, music videos, interviews, and more streaming off and on tomorrow. Please feel free to stop on by for a Viewing Party.

A lot has changed in the past 10 years, and it's unbelievable to think Michael's been gone for that long, but I hope we can all come together tomorrow and celebrate why we became fans of this incredible person.

Much L.O.V.E. to you all

Hey guys....

I'm not sure if anyone comes by Shamone anymore...

But, with all that is going on with the Documentary, and the new allegations, and the slander in the news, and the banning of Michael's music. I just wanted to say that this community is still here for you. If you need to vent, or get support, or cry...or all of the above. We're still here for you.

Sending out lots of love.

I was reviewing some of them and realized a lot of people were shocked by them probably because they had this specific picture of Mike being asexual or really shy and “Peter Pan” like when it came to love, women, etc. so to hear him talk about a girl named Melissa (?), Tatum, an older woman he was into (some said it was Diana), some Princess or daughter of a royal who was significantly younger and was trying to keep secret (was that true? I only read the transcript but never heard the audio so idk), and Glenda — or about the color of different dicks…it was like 0.o

But then a little while later, he was with LMP..so did he just dump all the women he was dating at that time or was he dating more than one person? Did you like the pairing? It seemed like they were able to keep it real with each other with one not letting the other give them crap or inflate their ego - which for someone at his level, I feared.

Also, what will it take for others (I'll focus on some members of the ONTD community) to believe that the allegations are bullshit? I thought we all knew that and understood. If by now - especially with Trump - people don't understand that the media can work had to push false narratives, etc....it's sad. Especially when the Sheriff's dept, the photographers involved and others released statements and went on social media to say they reports were crap.

These tap-dancing twins are famous for all sorts of work worth checking out, and the two men do a very decent tribute to Michael Jackson's Dangerous, but seeing people this talented fall short (no offense) of MJ's version teaches a lot of respect for how effortless he makes it seem...even to a hard core fan!

It's still lots of fun and I couldn't even come close, so that's not a critique, just a that's how hard these moves are! And gosh it's a good song, his work is so impossibly catchy!

Hello Shamoners!

This community has been quiet for quite a while and because of that I've decided to make a few changes to the site:

  • Membership is now OPEN to anyone who has a livejournal account.

  • The site is now public!

We've really come a long way over the years and the drama we experienced in the beginning of the community has completely gone away. I'd like to make this site open and available to other MJ fans to use. Maybe it will allow for more content to be submitted so the site can be active once again.

While we're now open to the public, there will be no anonymous comments. Anyone who wants to post on our site will have to create a Livejournal account.

Posts will still be screened in case we get any spam.

As long as the posts relate to the MJ fanbase or to the community, they will be approved.

We are also active on Facebook still so any posts made in the community will also be posted on Facebook to our other members. Over the past week or two, we've doubled our members on Facebook. This will be a great way to reach other fans who are new to our community.

If you guys have any suggestions, please let me know in the post.

Wishing you all the best and I miss you guys!
